3-Days fly-in Safari from Zanzibar into Serengeti Nationalpark

This special safari package will give you enough time to explore the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. The safari will start from Zanzibar where you will fly-in to the airstrip into Serengeti National Park.

Explore with us the beauty of Wilderness. We will visit the Ngorongoro Crater in the next days for more experience on game viewing.

The flight back to Zanzibar will be from Kilimanjaro International airport.

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport . You will enjoy your short fly to the Airstrip into Serengeti National Park. After a short briefing we direct to start your game drive. Dinner and overnight at a Tented Camp.

The name, Serengeti, is derived from the Maasai word siringit, meaning “endless plains.” An accurate description considering the whole ecosystem stretches over 30.000 square kilometers! The Serengeti is one of the oldest and most scientifically significant ecosystems on the planet. Its weather patterns, fauna and flora are believed to have changed very little over a million years, giving the area a prehistoric feel.

After a delicious breakfast we start our day with exploring the Wilderness in the Serengeti plains. There are several documented resident lion prides just within a one-hour game drive radius from Seronera. During the dry season, the resident prides begin to shift west and north in their territories and concentrate in the central region of the park. The dry season is a particularly good time for lion viewing in the Central Serengeti. The area is the best to spot the elusive leopard. You may be lucky enough to encounter this majestic cat in the branches of the sausage trees that dot the banks of the Seronera River.

After lunch we drive to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at a Lodge at the Crater rim.

After breakfast, descend into the crater for a game drive.

The Ngorongoro Crater often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, it is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometres wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest.

Later on we will drive to Arusha where you will proceed to Kilimanjaro International airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
