This 4-day chimpanzee trekking experience at the Gombe Stream National Park is a beautiful and unique Adventure.
There are only a few places in the world where chimpanzees can be seen in their natural habitat. Till this time there are no roads established to Gombe National Park, visitors can only reach the park by boat. Explore with us the Gombe Stream National Park with the Chimpanzees, beautiful landscapes, and the Kakombe waterfalls.
The landscape of the park is made up of steep valleys, streams, and rivers. The vegetation changes from tropical rainforests, and alpine bamboo to grasslands to the edge of the sandy northern shore of Lake Tanganyika.
Each day you will trek into the forest to observe these animated primates at play.

ITINERARY
Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kigoma. On arrival you will meet our guide at the airport. You will drive to Ujiji village to visit the Dr. Livingstone Memorial Center. Your boat to Gombe National Park is waiting for you at Kibirizi Port. The boatride along the shore of Tanganyika Lake takes approximately 2 hours. On arrival you will enjoy a hot lunch. We start our first chimpanzee tracking in the forest.
Gombe Stream’s main attraction are the chimpanzee families that live protected in the park’s boundaries. Visitors take walks deep into the forest to observe and spend time with the extraordinary Primates. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Vervet and Colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, dik dik, and various tropical birds inhabit the dense forest. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Kasekela Special Tented Camp. Lunch and dinner included.
Good morning at Tanganyika Lake! You will get breakfast at 8:00 am and start your day for your next chimpanzee tracking in the forest. You will also visit Kakombe Waterfalls, which are one of the best attractions in the park. You can climb Jane’s Peak where you will have a chance to enjoy the view of the park. Meals and your overnight stay are at Kasekela Special Tented Camp.
After your delicious breakfast we will start our next chimpanzee tracking in different valleys, enjoy the Walking Safari in the forest and visit Mkenge Waterfall. Around midday we will have our lunch in the lodge. Check-out the lodge and enjoy the boatride along the shore back to Kigoma town in the evening. Dinner and your overnight stay at a Lodge in Kigoma.
Enjoy your early breakfast around 6:00 am. Your Driver will pick you up and drive you to Kigoma Airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam.
