Your arrival in Tanzania. Karibu sana! You will be met and welcomed at Kilimanjaro Airport. You will then be transferred to your accommodation, which is located at the foothills of Kilimanjaro near Arusha.

After breakfast, you set off for Arusha National Park. After a short drive, you will reach the small but beautiful national park. It is often referred to as Northern Tanzania “in miniature” due to its great diversity. You can gain a good overview and impressive impressions from various vantage points in the park. Together with an armed ranger, you will go on a guided walking safari in the national park and experience the wilderness up close. You will have lunch in the form of a picnic at a beautiful lunch spot by the Momella Lakes.
You then leave the national park and drive towards West Kilimanjaro through farmland and Masai steppe. Your destination is the Sinya concession area, which is located in the endless African savannah. The region offers fantastic wildlife combined with a distinctive African bush experience. It is home to over 70 mammal species, 350 bird species and a traditional Maasai culture. This area is an important part of the Amboseli / Ngasurai ecosystem and specializes in the protection of elephant routes between the national parks.
Meals: 1x breakfast, 1x packed lunch, 1x dinner
In the morning, you will go on a guided bush walk with a local Masai guide. Experience the East African steppe landscape up close and observe wild animals such as kudu and oryx antelope, Grant’s gazelle, warthog, impala, wildebeest, giraffe, waterbuck, bushbuck and hyena, which are permanent residents in this area, while animal species such as eland, zebra, buffalo and elephant only inhabit the area seasonally. The region is known for its particularly old and large elephant bulls as well as rarer animal species. Here you can still experience the original Africa, far away from the crowds of tourists. You return to the lodge at lunchtime, where you can relax after your first experiences. Enjoy an excellent view of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru and the vast plains. In the afternoon, you will experience an exciting game drive with excellent game viewing.

You travel in a south-easterly direction to Mkomazi National Park. This youngest national park in Tanzania is nestled between the Pare and Usambara Mountains and joins Tsavo National Park in Kenya to the south. At sunrise, you set off on an early morning game drive in the Mkomazi National Park. Afterwards, you continue into the beautiful and green Usambara Mountains. The road there is a little bumpy, but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the valleys. The Usambara Mountains are one of Tanzania’s secret treasures. Due to the pleasant mountain climate, the mountains were a popular settlement area in the German colonial era, but have fallen into oblivion over time. Today, this region can be explored off the beaten track on wonderful hikes. Hidden waterfalls, beautifully situated vantage points with views of the wide plain all the way to the coast and a rich flora and fauna are waiting to be discovered. The most famous representative of the flora is the Usambara violet, which is also popular in this country.
