The Ngorongoro Crater is also referred to as ‘the Garden of Eden’ due to its dazzling beauty and being a paradise for animals. Various beautiful habitats from forest to grasslands fill Ngorongoro Crater and provide homes for hundreds of species of animals and birds. A dirt road that snakes down into the crater and stretches across the basin floor allows visitors to go on safari drives through this spectacular landscape and see a breathtaking abundance of wildlife. The Crater is not only the largest unbroken Caldera in the world, it is also one of the new 7 natural wonders of Africa.

In the afternoon you will break for lunch at hippo picnic site. After lunch, the game drive continues until you start driving out heading to the Southern part of Serengeti called Ndutu to your lodge. It is now time to relax, dine and relive the memories you collected during the day at camp.
After Breakfast we will head to the lake Ndutu region situated in the conservation area a sublime landscape of the southern Serengeti ecosystem.

Ndutu is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, in the southeastern plains of the Serengeti ecosystem. The plains around Ndutu are the main holding ground for migratory animals where vast herds congregate and linger for more than four months, from December to April, before they start moving across the Serengeti in search of greener pastures and water.

On this day after breakfast we head out to continue to enjoy full day game drive and explore the range of different habitats found like a swamp, soda lake, and world famous Serengeti Short grass plains.

This corner of the Serengeti ecosystem is where wildebeest come to have their calves. Newborns feed on nutrient-rich volcanic soils, meaning they develop at up to twice the speed of wildebeest elsewhere in Africa.

Thomson’s gazelle also like Ndutu for raising their young. That means this tiny corner of Tanzania is populated by over a million grazers, many of them highly vulnerable to predators.

In the afternoon you will break for lunch. After lunch, the game drive continues until you start driving back to your lodge. It is now time to relax, dine and relive the memories you collected during the day.
After breakfast, you’ll drive from Ndutu to central Serengeti. You’ll enjoy a full day of game driving in various spots around the park.
Mornings and evenings are always the best times to spot animals. Aside from big cats, many other predators can be spotted, including jackals and spotted hyenas.
You will also have the opportunity to see the sunrise and sunset on the plains. Dinner and overnight in a camp.

The name, Serengeti, is derived from the Maasai word siringit, meaning “endless plains.” An accurate description considering the whole ecosystem stretches over 30.000 square kilometers! The Serengeti is one of the oldest and most scientifically significant ecosystems on the planet. Its weather patterns, fauna and flora are believed to have changed very little over a million years, giving the area a prehistoric feel.
After your breakfast we will have a morning game drive in the Serengeti plains  while your guide will drive you back to the Kilimanjaro airport for your outbound flight.
