Welcome to Tanzania! Karibu sana!

Your adventure begins upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. After clearing customs, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your private driver-guide, who will accompany you throughout your safari.

Enjoy a scenic transfer to your lodge in Arusha, where you’ll immediately feel Tanzania’s relaxed “hakuna matata” atmosphere. If the skies are clear, you may even catch a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

After check-in, unwind from your journey and enjoy a refreshing welcome drink. In the evening, your guide will brief you on the exciting days ahead.

Today you’ll explore Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s most diverse yet underrated parks.

Unlike most safaris, this day includes a guided walking safari, offering a rare chance to experience wildlife on foot. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you’ll walk through open savannah and forest, encountering giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and various antelope species at eye level.

The park’s landscapes are incredibly varied, from the Momella Lakes, often filled with flamingos, to the lush forests around Mount Meru and the Ngurdoto Crater. This active and immersive experience sets the tone for your adventure.

Return to your lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, travel to the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu, located near the Great Rift Valley.

This region is known for its cultural diversity, where over 120 tribes live side by side. You’ll visit a local Maasai market, where livestock trading and traditional bartering create a lively and authentic atmosphere.

Later, explore the village by mountain bike or tuk-tuk, passing banana plantations, local homes, and artisan workshops. Enjoy a freshly prepared local lunch, giving you a true taste of Tanzanian cuisine.

Overnight stay in Mto wa Mbu.

Today’s drive takes you off the beaten path to the remote and dramatic Lake Natron.

As you leave the greener landscapes behind, the scenery transforms into a rugged, volcanic terrain. Upon arrival, you’ll notice the lake’s striking pink hues – caused by salt-loving microorganisms.

In the afternoon, take a guided walk along the lake’s shores, observing flamingos and other birdlife. The silence and raw beauty of this region make it one of Tanzania’s most unique destinations.

Overnight near Lake Natron.

Start the day with a hike to the hidden Ngare Sero Waterfalls, a refreshing oasis surrounded by steep canyon walls. You’ll walk through shallow streams and shaded gorges before reaching the cascading falls, perfect for a cooling dip.

Later, explore the surrounding volcanic landscape and enjoy views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano sacred to the Maasai.

This day combines adventure, geology, and breathtaking scenery, ideal for travelers seeking something beyond traditional safari routes.

After breakfast, journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, entering through the remote eastern gate.

Upon arrival, begin your first game drive across the endless plains. The Serengeti is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the world, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and giraffes.

Enjoy a full afternoon exploring before heading to your camp or lodge for dinner under the stars.

Today is dedicated to discovering the Serengeti’s incredible wildlife.

Set out early for a sunrise game drive, when predators are most active. Throughout the day, your guide will track animals and adapt the route based on sightings.

Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.

Optional: Book a hot air balloon safari at sunrise for a breathtaking aerial view.

Overnight in Serengeti.

After a final morning game drive, travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walk along the crater rim with a ranger. This unique activity allows you to experience the highlands on foot, surrounded by lush vegetation and panoramic views.

Overnight near the Ngorongoro area.

Descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife destinations.

The crater floor is home to an incredible density of animals, offering one of the best chances to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo-filled lake before continuing your game drive.

In the afternoon, travel to Lake Eyasi for overnight.

Wake early for a truly unique cultural encounter with the Hadzabe people, one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa.

Join them on a traditional hunt and learn about their survival techniques, language, and daily life. This is an authentic and respectful cultural exchange, not a staged experience.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk around Lake Eyasi.

Today you’ll visit the Datoga tribe, known for their blacksmith skills and traditional craftsmanship.

Observe how they create tools and jewelry using age-old techniques, and gain insight into their way of life.

Later, transfer to Karatu for overnight.

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Arusha.

Along the way, you can stop at local villages or markets, guided by your guide who will share personal insights into everyday life in Tanzania.

Enjoy a relaxed evening at your lodge.

Today is yours to relax and unwind.

Enjoy your lodge’s facilities, reflect on your safari experiences, or explore Arusha at your own pace. Optional activities can be arranged upon request.

After breakfast, transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international flight.

As you depart, you’ll take with you unforgettable memories, from vast savannahs and incredible wildlife to meaningful cultural encounters.
